Sydney and mommy had fun throwing snowballs and jumping in the snow. Daddy had fun feeling the investment in the snowblower last winter was now a good multi-year decision.

Carter braced the cold temps to see his first big snow.

Carter demanded to be up with us at the table so he tried out the high chair tonight. He fit pretty well but soon realized he might be trapped in a chair for dinner going forward and politely demanded to go back to his old spot.

Carter is learning how to color from his big sister.

I'm sure it's normal development but when I looked down and she said she was practicing writing her alphabet this morning I was just amazed.

First Skate!

Ahhh, a hockey loving dad's dream come true.

That was actually an enjoyable Santa visit...no crowd..happy kids..and some christmas wishes passed along.

Personally, I think he makes a top hat work.

Sydney only moments before an olympics worthy front roll. She hit her mark and landed it perfectly.

Park Day

A gorgeous fall day at the park. Sydney ran herself out between animals, activities and tractor rides.

Training Wheels

The new bike (free from a yard sale!) was a hit and with a quick run to the store for a helmet and training wheels, we were up and running. That along with having her fingernails painted purple at a fall fest have me shaking my head at how big she looks.

The look on my face is joy of doing something very fatherly combined with utter frustration at the lack of directions.

Sydney was fortunate to have a special aunt in town who showered her with love. We'll have to figure out what to do this week without her!

Sleepover!

Big Sister just couldn't wait so we had the first sleepover last night. We were politely asked to leave we which we politely declined. Then she was not happy when she realized the sleepover was only going to last 10 minutes. We promised many more.

Pony Rides

While we were in the hospital with little Carter, Sydney was enjoying a first at the Bluemont fair which was riding ponies! Apparently she loved it and we were lucky to have grandma capture this photo.
